Genesis 9:3
"Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

Herbs are mentioned many times throughout the Bible.  Herbs are foods with high nutrient value.  They cause no side effects, unlike medications and drugs which can interfere with normal body functions.  Herbs & Vitamins help the body to heal itself.  They can be used for many ailments and most importantly for prevention of many more.
